Help Centre: Client Cloud

Why use the Client Cloud rather than email to upload files?

Back to Client Cloud

For starters, the Client Cloud supports the upload of files far larger than what conventional email does. The maximum that most email providers support is about the size of 2 PDFs, whereas with the Client Cloud, you could hypothetically upload an entire musical album at once. You can choose a multitude of file formats as well, that most email providers would block for being spam.

The Client Cloud is also far more secure than email. The Client Cloud uses what's called 'HTTPS', which means that all communications between your computer and the Jarvis Ryan Associates' server is encrypted. This means that it's very technically difficult for hackers to snoop in on your sensitive files, compared to email, where they are normally sent completely unencrypted. They don't sit around in your mailbox either, which means that should some day you unfortunately fall victim to your account being hacked, those hackers won't have your SIN or personal identity to steal.

Finally, the Client Cloud is much more reliable than email. Email can easily get lost along its journey to its destination - it happens all the time, especially when you're sending attachments that can get flagged as spam. With the Client Cloud, you get instant visual feedback as to whether your file was successfully received, so there's no chance that it might get misplaced.

With uploads now being integrated directly into the Client Cloud, it's as easy as 1-2-3 to upload files to Jarvis Ryan Associates:

  1. Log into the Client Cloud.
  2. Click on 'Upload Files'.
  3. Click on 'Upload New Files' and follow the prompt.
